Geometry of the GM front suspension - almost a good design The GM front IFS suspension design on these models lacks in certain areas that limits the suspension travel of the front of a non-lifted vehicle. The first problem is the front shocks are too short, bottoming out at full extension before the upper control arms ever touch the droop travel bump-stops. This is extremely hard on the shocks, and premature failure of the shocks is unavoidable. The second problem is that GM upper control arm hits the droop stop on the frame before you ever reach the maximum potential of the travel of the front suspension. Even on 4wd models, the front CV axles have more travel potential than GM provides you from the factory. We believe this is a design flaw on the 8-lug models. crackcrack2500 installment loanno credit check car loans
Overview: Built to accommodate 33” tires, this suspension lift system design uses a new spindle engineered to offer the best of all worlds in strength, flexibility, and ease of installation. It is also featuring a torsion bar linkage system which retains the torsion bars up high in the frame in the factory location for maximum ground clearance when viewed from the side of the vehicle. On 4-wheel drive models, there are two simple cuts to make to clear the front differential and the rest is a bolt on installation. This 4” system comes standard with our revolutionary Pitman/Idler arm support kit that eliminates the premature wear found in the GM pitman and idler arm design that is present even on stock vehicles. crackcrack2500 installment loanno credit check car loans
Overview: This lift system is designed like no one else’s. Cognito goes the extra mile to build customers a tubular front crossmember for a custom look. The design also incorporates a new spindle engineered to offer the best of all worlds in strength, flexibility, and ease of installation. On 4 wheel drive models, there is one simple cut to make on the frame to clear the front differential, not necessary on 2 wheel drives, and 4 holes to drill and the rest is a bolt on installation. This 7” system comes standard with our revolutionary Pitman/Idler arm support kit that eliminates the premature wear found in the GM pitman and idler arm design that is present even on stock vehicles. crackcrack2500 installment loanno credit check car loans

On 4 wheel drive models, there is one simple cut to make on the frame to clear the front differential, not necessary on 2 wheel drives, and 4 holes to drill and the rest is a bolt on installation. This 10” system comes standard with our revolutionary Pitman/Idler arm support kit that eliminates the premature wear found in the GM pitman and idler arm design that is present even on stock vehicles. Flexibility to get an extra 2” out of this system is built in, just add the tubular upper control arm kit and you will be able to run up to a 40” tall tire, depending on which vehicle and wheel/tire combination used. On 4 wheel drive models, the front differential is dropped down a full 10 inches to avoid severe CV axle angles. crackcrack2500 installment loanno credit check car loans
